NOTICE OF THE RESULT OF THE 15TH DRAWING CONTEST “HO CHI MINH CITY CHILDREN WITH UNCLE TON” 2021

The drawing contest "Children of Ho Chi Minh City with Uncle Ton" has been organized by Ton Duc Thang Museum since 2006 with the participation of children at Children's Houses, Cutural Centers, schools in the city, drawing classes of the HCMC University of  Fine Arts, Fine Arts Association, Tran Quoc Toan and Children's House of An Giang province. This is one of the annual and focus activities of the unit's work program in order to propagate and introduce the image of the beloved Uncle Ton to teenagers and children through the language of painting. From there encouraging the children in trying their best to study and practice morality to be worthy good grandchildren of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton, contribute to educating the patriotic tradition, arousing national pride for young people, raising the awareness of responsibility in preserving and protecting cultural heritage related to President Ton Duc Thang. This year's painting contest takes place in a more special form because the city is facing an outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic and must strictly comply with the epidemic prevention regulations of the Ministry of Health, epidemic prevention and control measures of the city . Therefore, Ton Duc Thang Museum changed the form of the contest by allowing the contestants to draw pictures at home and send their paintings directly or by post to the Museum. After 20 days of implementation, the contest was successfully organized with the participation of 18 units, 136 contestants and received 157 paintings with various materials such as gouache, wax, watercolor, oil paint,  Acrylic, etc.

This year's painting contest with the theme "Uncle Ton with children", the organizers  have received many paintings with vivid drawings, especially many topical works about the Covid - 19 epidemic. The children  are very creative that they delicately choose and skillfully integrate the image of Uncle Ton and the angels in white shirt, the frontline force against the epidemic on the fronts to help the people of Ho Chi Minh City such as works: "Angel's Arms", " Uniting forces,   being determined to win Covid", "Uncle Ton visits and donates oxygen tanks to the hospital to prevent and control Covid 19", "Uncle Ton and children of the city  are making cakes to send to doctors who are fighting the epidemic", "Uncle Ton and the city's children are cooking rice for charity during the Covid epidemic season in 2021", "Uncle Ton donates necessities to city people during the epidemic season ", "Uncle Ton's loves babies whose parents are infected with Covid", "Uncle Ton and the soldiers go to the market, support the people and children of the city during the epidemic season"... With  their own feelings and through the language of painting, the children  have imagined and portrayed the image of Uncle Ton and children in many activities  with Ho Chi Minh City against the epidemic  by innocent  drawings as a deep gratitude to the frontline force against the epidemic. The competition works have profound spiritual value in the period while the whole country is joining hands in the prevention and control of the current epidemic.
