Practically celebrating the Month of civil servants, officials and laborers in 2022, on the morning of May 5, 2022 at Ho Chi Minh City Museum, the Trade Union of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City collaborated with Ton Duc Thang Museum, Ho Chi Minh City Museum to hold the opening ceremony of thematic exhibition "Uncle Ton with the workers". This is an activity to respond to the 14th Workers' Month, with the theme "Vietnamese workers: pioneering, creactive, responsible, safe, adaptive" and the Month action for Safety and hygiene at work in 2022.
With more than 100 images and documents, the thematic exhibition "Uncle Ton with the workers" introduces about the establishment, development and process of struggle for the cause of national liberation and nation building of the Vietnameseworking class, especially workers of Saigon - Cholon and Uncle Ton's contributions to the Saigon - Cholon workers movement in the early years of the 20th century. The exhibition contributes to the education of revolutionary tradition, moral example of President Ton Duc Thang. Since then, the Trade Union, officials, workersand laborers have studied and applied Uncle Ton's revolutionary ideas to build the working class and the Trade Union Organization stronger and stronger, worthy of the pioneer class in the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.
Attending the opening ceremony of the exhibition, there were the presence of comrades: Mrs. Pham Thi Bich Ly, Member of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Officials' Trade Union; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hang, Chairman of Trade Union of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports; Mrs. Pham Duong My Thu Huyen, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Museum; Mr. Pham Thanh Nam, Director of Ton Duc Thang Museum and leaders of units under the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports; trade union members of 32 grassroots Trade Unions; units in the emulation cluster No. 4 - Ho Chi Minh City Officials' Trade Union. The exhibition will take place from May 5, 2022 to the end of May, 2022 at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum, 65 Ly Tu Trong Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
Also on this occasion, the Trade Union of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City cooperated with Ton Duc Thang Museum to introduce the documentary film "Uncle Ton with the workers" and organize an online contest with the theme "Uncle Ton with workers” taken place from May 5 to May 20, 2022.
